Stress leads to more… stress

April 25, 2008

Me: I am sad.

Hubby: Why?

Me: I’m not pregnant.

Hubby: I just realized something, I dont think I want to have kids with you.

Me: What? Why?

Hubby: Because you stress me out, you’ve taken all the joy out of this whole adventure.

He’s right.

  1. How could he say something like that? WOW. He should be more compassionate. Is there a book for the husbands of women TTC? … There should be.

{{{HUGS}}} Don’t blame yourself. It’s NORMAL to feel anxiety and stress and a whole wide range of emotions when you’re TTC – especially if it’s your first one and you’ve waited a few years into your marriage. Everything you’ve been feeling is NORMAL – and your DH needs to be more supportive. (I know that’s not helpful since you can’t force him to be that way. I’m just trying to say that he was not right. Don’t blame yourself. {HUGS})

  2. I can understand the DHs’ feelings in this situation. Sometimes they feel helpless. They don’t know what to do or what to say. You have to take the TTC thing one day at a time. Don’t stress yourself out. I hope you’ll have your baby soon. Wishing you all the best.
