April 22, 2008If you, like me are researching like mad for all things pregnancy/conception related you have undoubtedly found many websites where there are so many acronyms on each line you feel as though you have encountered an entirely different language! I’ve been picking it up as I go and thought I’d put them all here for newbies who feel confounded by the many sites out there. If you know of others please share and I will add them to the list.
BFN: Bonafide Negative Pregnancy Test
BFP: Bonafide Positive Pregnancy Test
CM: Cervical Mucus
EWCM: Egg White Cervical Mucus
BB: Boobs
DH: Dear Husband
DPO: Days past ovulation
TWW: Two week wait
TTC: Trying to Conceive
AF: Aunt Flow (Period)
IVF: In Vitro Fertilization
HCG: The pregnancy hormone that pregnancy tests detect
HPT: Home Pregnancy Test
BD: Baby Dance/Sex
M/C: Miscarriage
POAS: Pee on a Stick (pregnancy test)
U/S: Ultrasound
